Winning the Young Lions Brazil competition and going to Cannes in 2016 changed my life in many ways, but it had one special effect. After watching the Future Lions awards ceremony, I knew I had to do something to help my market to evolve and think beyond the traditional medias. A few weeks later studying and working hard, I'm back to Brazil and talking to Celia Camargos, CEO from Redhook School, about creating a course to teach young creatives to use technology in advertising. And that's how I debuted as a teacher.
I developed the entire course program believing in the power of technology to change lives, in a way that the my students could apply the concepts in real life for their jobs. It's a 7 month course reaching key aspects of modern technology from today and specially tomorrow. Each month we work on a specific briefing, so the students can put their knowledge and creativity to proof, and the work they generate is judged by top creatives around the world.
The first year of the course was a huge success, since my student's works were selected at the main creative festivals as Cannes Future Lions, El Ojo de Iberoamerica, and CCSP. In 2018 we started the second edition with a entire new class.
Some work we've developed during the course were awarded at creativity festivals.
Donor ID was inspired by a recent study, which reveals that it is possible to identify a person's blood group through their fingerprints. This would make it possible to use smartphones' Touch ID feature to facilitate contact between blood banks and potential donors.
